No member of the Board of Directors, employee, officer, or agent shall participate in selecting, awarding, or administering a contract if a conflict of interest exists.
A consent agenda is a streamlined approach to handling routine matters in meetings, allowing multiple items to be approved together without discussion or debate. Any Board member may request that an item be removed from the Consent Agenda for separate consideration prior to the vote.

Policy 521 – Student Disability Nondiscrimination: Updates the policy to clarify protections under Section 504, including protections for disabilities that are episodic or in remission, and adds language regarding the school’s responsibility to consider reasonable accommodations under the Minnesota Human Rights Act.

Policy 524 – Internet, Technology, and Cell Phone Acceptable Use and Safety: Updates technology-use requirements, including prohibiting the use of school technology to create or alter realistic nude images of individuals. Also updates internet filtering requirements and related technology safeguards.

Policy 613 – Graduation Requirements: Updates graduation requirements to align with current Minnesota law, including physical education and health standards, personal finance requirements, credit equivalencies, ethnic studies, and provisions allowing qualifying veterans to receive a high school diploma.

Policy 621 – Literacy and the READ Act: Updates the policy to reflect recent changes to Minnesota’s READ Act, including literacy screening, dyslexia identification, evidence-based reading instruction and interventions, literacy plans, staff training requirements, and responsibilities of literacy leads.
